At Wildrye, we carry on the frontier tradition of making use of what we have. This
reduces our carbon footprint and helps support Montana’s robust agricultural heritage.
Ramsdell’s Parrot was the name of one of the earliest copper mines in Butte, Montana.
Since we use Montana beet sugar combined with cane molasses to prepare our own
Montana bRum (beet sugar rum!), we thoughts the name was fitting. After all, a parrot
is not only a pirate’s best friend, but also the tool (usually made of copper) a distiller
uses to measure the proof of spirits coming off the still.
